Beth studied at Eastern Illinois University, graduating with a BS in Elementary Education in 1994. She worked for a social services organization in the Chicago area as an adult educator for 11 years. She and her husband, Mark, were relocated to the Springfield area in October 2007. She began her career as a Massage Therapist at Chatham Chiropractic Clinic in the summer of 2009. Beth is nationally certified and licensed in the state of Illinois. She has the knowledge and certification to perform Swedish and deep tissue massage; and work with migraine, arthritis, and pregnant patients. Her focus as a therapist is to meet the needs of the overworked business professional, the stressed stay at home mom, to help relieve that headache that has been hanging on for days, or the occasional person who just wants to relax. With each patient that passes through the door, she is reminded of how lucky she is to be in a position to help people and to be passionate about what she does. She and her husband, Mark, have a 9 year old daughter, Grace, who attends Chatham Elementary.
Carrie Schreyer: Carrie Schreyer grew up in Agoura Hills, California. She started her massage career in California after receiving her license of massage therapy from Santa Monica School of Massage. She has twenty five years of experience, fourteen of which have been in Illinois. She has been with Chatham Chiropractic Clinic since June 2006. She is proficient in trigger point, Shiatsu, Swedish massage, acupressure, deep tissue, and reflexology. She has taught massage at LincolnLand Community College. She is very knowledgeable of Eastern medicine and leans towards the Eastern philosophy of mind, body, spirit. Some of her frequenting clients call her “Helga.”
Cody was born and raised in Springfield, IL and graduated from Glenwood High School. Cody studied under our own massage therapist, Carrie Schreyer, through Lincoln Land Community College’s Massage Therapy program. After graduating and receiving his license, he joined Chatham Chiropractic in 2011. Cody believes that everyone experiences stress and needs time for themselves. Cody does a lot of soft tissue work on Dr. Taylor’s patients to aid in their recovery. He specializes in deep tissue, rehabilitative, and sport massage.
